have i lost myself?
life is funny. it really is.
going to country far away from friends and family makes you realise that you have to be strong. it also makes you notice how very pointedly how differently you can act. how much work you have to manage yourself.
i remember my old self a from the past 4 years. i was very lively, loud, talkative in class. i was the girl with the extremely loud laugh. i could shout from the far corner of the room to the other.i sat next to people who i was extremely close too for many years. secrets shared, laughter, no awkward conversations. never afraid to speak up.
and yet now look at me a year later. in a classroom where i barely talk wishing i was that girl i once was. how painfully shy i am to talk to some people. maybe this is what happens when you are thrown into a new environment mid way.
i don't think i'd ever thought that i'd ever be labelled as a quiet. or shy.
however i don't regret coming here. there are things i've become used to. i've got to meet some lovely people. life can throw you some funny curveballs making you realize that sometimes taking the other harder different way can make lead you to some funny unexpected encounters.

it's all a matter of coincidence
yes it really is. it's hard to believe that last year at this time i'm still at home going to school in KL.
image taken off google. this is the main part of school.fast forward a year i'm in a place where it's a few thousand miles across a continent in a cold literally freezing place for a person who has always lived in the tropics.
i now live in a boarding house, do my own laundry (plus iron), eat in the dining hall, walk to my classes.
and i just found out that skins ( that uk teen drama ) is filmed in bristol and they've filmed in my school before!!!!!

Greetings from the UK
it's freezing cold and it's about to get colder according to weather forecast.
still in london at the moment and we're going to bristol tomorrow. school/college starts on thursday for me. london is cool. i've always loved this city. i've been here in different phases of my life. i first came here when i was 4/5; then when i was 12 when i just finished primary; when i was 13; and then finally now just about to embark on a new phase.
i don't believe in new years resolutions but i think i'll have just one this year. i'll update this blog regularly. so do not blame me if i break it!
new life + new friends + new school - warm weather = ???
i was reminded this pass week that there are people that actually care in more ways than one. yesterday coming out of harvey nichols, we saw a protest march against the israeli invasion of palestine. the street was filled with people for a few minutes and the only cars in sight were police cars. people from all walks of life were marching on the streets shouting slogans, holding banners in the freezing cold.
will update more later.
